ion system District Administrator Role
Most administrative tasks in ion must be completed by a user with the "District Administrator" role. To learn more about granting this role, please see the "Creating District Administrative Users" section. Those with access will see this section in the main menu.
ion System District Administrative Users
Those with District Administrator rights in ion have the role of maintaining the ion system for the district. This includes the ability to add, delete, or edit within all modules of ion. This role should be limited to those who are trained to maintain the system. Be sure to contact customer success for more information and training available for this role. Some of the Administrative Tasks for ion system district administrators include...
(1) Security Management - Maintain Security for district staff and schools
(2) Year End Tasks - Prepare the ion data management system for the new school year
(3) Dictionary Management - Create and maintain dictionaries for ion modules such as Behavior, Case Management and MTSS
(4) Data Management and Troubleshooting - Maintain data integration, data uploads and viewable data (data walls, dashboards, etc)
(7) Meeting with Customer Success to discuss data and training goals for the district.
(8) Scheduling Training with Customer Success Team
(9) Maintaining systems by working with Customer Support
